Alabama's $6.7M Water System Upgrade to Bring 450 New Jobs

GOOD NEWS - Water and jobs are on the way : Access to a reliable water system is essential for the recruitment of industry as well as sanitary conditions for existing residents. ´┐╝Through a partnership between the State of Alabama, ARC, and Warrior Met Coal, $6.7 million in grant funding and matches will be used to construct a connection from the Parrish Water System to the Oakman Water System, which will provide an adequate water supply to the Warrior Met Coal site and surrounding communities. Over the next 5 years, Warrior Met Coal plans to invest approximately $650-$700 million to develop the Blue Creek mine near Brandon School Road and AL Hwy 69.
