Space Day in Montgomery

Thank you to everyone who visited Montgomery for Space Day!

Alabama has played a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of the aerospace industry, both historically and in present day. Home to the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, our state has been at the forefront of space exploration since the dawn of the Space Age. This facility was instrumental in developing the Saturn V rocket, which powered the Apollo missions to the moon, marking a significant chapter in human history.

Today, Alabama's contribution to aerospace extends far beyond space exploration. Our state is a hub for aerospace manufacturing and engineering, hosting a plethora of companies that specialize in everything from the production of large aircraft components to cutting-edge research and development in missile defense and unmanned aerial systems. The presence of these firms has not only bolstered Alabama's economy through job creation and investment but has also established the state as a crucial player in national defense and global aviation networks. #Our67
